Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.

They focus wonderfully and adjust to fit comfortably across the bride of the nose, there are also sun brass sun shades which pull out to reduce glare in bright light and sunshine.
The eyepieces are signed L. Petit, PARIS and the brass engraved with the magnification 4 1/2 x.

They come complete with a brown leather carrying case with the inside of the lid having a matching signature to the glasses. The leather would polish up magnificently if desired, the strap securing the case is broken, perhaps a replacement could be created at a shoe repairers; the have done a wonderful job in protecting the precious contents for the last 110 years.

Excellent condition measuring 4 7/8" wide x 4 7/8" tall extending to 5 1/2" while fully extended and the sun shades pulled out. The case measures 5 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide.
