A lovely antique swivel desk chair, ideal for any period office.
This rare chair is made in the regency style splayed legs, and scolloped seat. The chair features a padded captains back, with traditional padding and is currently covered in a nice light burgundy full grain leather. The leather is used so is not absolutely perfect, however, we can quote for re-upholstering in a material/leather of your choice. This padded back features carved and shaped Walnut facias to front and sits on its 11 turned gallery supports. The chair swivels on its original mechanism which is solid and free moving with little 'play'. The chairs shaped legs terminate to brass castors and the chair is solid with no joint movement.
This desk chair has a lovely Walnut colour and French polished finish. It has previously been restored (not by us), however, we have cleaned, waxed and checked this chair over fully to ensure this chair ready for its new home.
The chair would look great alongside an antique twin pedestal desk and would be a great addition to any period themed office or study.
