A rare and impressive Newcastle Georgian sterling silver pint mug that sits proudly on a spreading foot with a low belly. It has been made from a thick gauge of silver, this gives it an almost silky feel when handled. It has a wonderful deep shine and colour that you get with silver from the Georgian period. It has survived the centuries and it is still in an excellent condition.
It is fully hallmarked Sterling silver, Newcastle 1774
The makers mark is of John Langlands.
The makers mark is also proudly stamped to the handle.
It is in an excellent condition being free from any damage, repairs or thin spots.

On a close inspection there are a few shallow bruises that are lost in the shine.
It has just been professionally polished so it is free from any denting or deep scratching.
