Victorian Briarwood Sword Stick by Howell of London

19th century
Description

Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century this sword stick is by the renowned makers - Howell of London.

It features a push button lock/release and an etched blade with " Peace with Honour" on one side and "Defence not Defiance" on the other and it ends in a steel and brass ferrule.

It is generally in very good condition except for the end of the handle with has been chipped.

I thought about sanding down it but I think it is better with its war wound showing.
