A good example of a sterling silver Christening spoon in its original box. It has never been engraved and is a good quality piece weighing approximately 12g.
The spoon is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1940 and the maker Joseph Gloster.
It is in very good condition. There are some faint surface marks but no major damages and it has been lightly cleaned and polished.
The spoon comes in its original silk and velvet lined box. The box is in good condition and the interior is very clean and tidy. There are a few minor marks and scuffs around the outside edges but nothing detrimental.
