A fantastic solid Mahogany 'D' End dining table.
The table consists of 2 'D' End console tables which could be used either side of a large hallway or dining room and brought together to make an 8 seater dining table, with the option of dropping the leaf down to create a 4 seater.
The very usable table has solid Mahogany single plank tops, with a square edge which sits above its impressive curved Flame Mahogany frieze incorporating Rosewood Boxwood and ebony stringing. The table stands on square tapering Mahogany legs to lovely brass square cup castors on each leg.
The table has the most idyllic Mahogany colour from being sympathetically restored, carefully cleaned, revived and French polished in our workshop so is in stunning condition. The table still shows desired areas of patina amongst its beautiful glazed French Polished finish. The table is without any sagging and maintains a flat top when extended, the leaves are held together via its original dowels and Brass table forks. The table is solid with no joint movement or twisting.
This item is in outstanding condition as shown by the photographs however being an antique item of this age there are blemishes and scuffs here and there which we feel adds to its originality and heritage.
The chairs photographed are not included in the sale, however may be available separately (part of a set of 14).
