Good Old Sheffield Plated Chamber Candlestick C1800 with Snips

Description

A good chamber candlestick made of Old Sheffield Plate and bearing no makers marks. The snuffer snips are marked for maker Gilbert and are Close Plated. The piece dates to c1800 and is of an elegant oval form. With removable sconce and snuffer.

In good condition with some wear to snips and slight copper bleed to raised edges and under the base as is to be expected.

Weight approx 353g.

Measures approx 16cm x 14cm.
