Circa1880.Absolutely stunning and rare James Shoolbred Antique Aesthetic Movement Period Sofa & 2 Chairs (Salon Suite). Upholstered in an opulent apple green velvet chenille fabric, with red and gold braid trim. Gilt central flower medallions (carved) central to the chairs, and one at each end on the sofa.The quality and workmanship is superb with some incredibly finely chased detailing on the ebonised frames. Further decorative patterning within the exposed mahogony panels and gilt decoration to the turned sections. Each piece is stamped Shoolbred and numbered.
