A Victorian Cut Glass Bonboniere/preserve Jar

A stunning cut glass bonboniere, preserve or sweetmeat jar, in the Regency style. This delightful piece has a goblet shaped body with slice cutting and a band of hobnails. The foot is square and there is a polished pontil mark in the centre of the base. Bonboniere''s were high quality items for the serving table, containing bonbons or sweetmeats, but would serve well as a preserve or pickle jar. A fine example, both practical and decorative.
