Sterling Silver Snuff Box Pill Box Large Size 1918 Chester Stokes & Ireland

A beautifully engraved sterling silver box of a decent size, originally made as a tobacco box or snuff box it would make a wonderful pill box. It has a good solid feel being made from a good gauge of silver. The curved shape is pleasing in the hand and is designed to fit into the pocket. The engraved decoration is still remarkably sharp and crisp.
 
It is fully hallmarked Sterling silver, 1918 Chester.
 
The makers mark is of Stokes & Ireland Ltd.
 
It is in an excellent condition being free from any repairs, damage or denting.
 
Shuts securely and flush.
 
The hinge is in good working order.
 
Some very minor surface wear that is noticeable on a close inspection.
 
The gilded interior is in good order.
