In excellent condition with good colour and patination.
The shaped top with curved ends, veneered in wonderfully figured burr walnut.
Beneath the thuya wood banded frieze, with purple heart and satinwood inlaid detail.
The central panelled door having the most wonderful worked inlaid panel and cross banded in thuya wood and flanked by twin free standing thuya veneered columns with ormolu Corinthian column capitals.
The curved glazed end doors opening to reveal a velvet lined shelved interior, all supported on six turned ormolu mounted feet.
The original brass lever locks to each opening door, with the original key.
This extremely fine quality credenza dates to circa 1870.
