19th Century Cross-Banded & Line Inlaid Mahogany Sewing Table
A fine example from around the 1830s or 40s and in very good condition, with lovely, glowing colour throughout, figured mahogany top with cross-banded & line inlaid edges, the top hinged and with a leather-lined inside surface, opening to reveal a plain storage compartment beneath, over a line inlaid frieze on slender, Gillows style reeded & tapering legs and with slide supporting a silk-clad hanging bin, this lovely sewing table will charm in the most elegant of homes, fully-deserving of the envious attention it will undoubtedly attract.
