A Fine, early Biedermeier Secretaire in maple Veneer from Southern Germany around 1820.

Beautiful classicist (neoclassical) design with greek gable cornice, well selected blonde maple veneer on hard and softwood (oak, maple and spruce underwood). Book-matched veneered and several ebonized parts like the lisenes and top. Original brass fittings. Three drawers below the drop down lid.

Inside with numerous drawers and secret compartment, Revealed to the new owner upon purchase, mostly veneered in exotic timbers. Fold down writing plate in ebony wood cross banded with maple. Plus pullout writing slide with leather inset. Stunning in every aspect.
