A remarkable vintage French ruby diamond cluster ring, bestowed with a natural cushion-cut Burmese ruby with a lovely hue that transitions from cherry-red, to fuchsia pink. It has been weighed at 9.2 carats and is accompanied by a gem certification that states the stone is of Myanmar/ Burma origin and has had some clarity enhancement, but no heat treatment.
Burmese rubies are some of the rarest and finest gems in the world. Prized for their beauty, durability and high intensity red/ pink colouring that tends to be more vivid than other varieties. The stone is associated with the heart and is said to bring good fortune in love and provide long-lasting happiness and vitality to any relationship.
The principal stone is haloed by twinkling diamonds around the border (approx. 0.20ct total) and is claw set in a large 18ct white gold gallery, with milgrain edging and a fabulous under gallery, with open heart motifs chasing around the bottom. It joins a thick band at the back, complete with a French 18ct eagle hallmark on the outside.
It’s an incredible statement ring and would make a perfect ruby engagement ring, or 40th ruby anniversary gift, with a rare and astonishingly beautiful natural ruby at its heart, that is sure to impress.
We recommend you insure for £23,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
