An extremely rare 19th century scientific model by sought after maker R Brendel. Most likely made by Robert Brendel and not his son Reinhold.
''Throughout the life of the Brendel company, collaboration with various renowned scientists, precision and quality of execution have been a permanent concern of the company which has become internationally recognized.
Today, Brendel models have lost their original didactic function, but they are highly appreciated by collectors.''
This is an unusual subject. I cannot find a parallel. It is a representation of a fungus, Eurotium Aspergillus Glaucus de Bary. Painted plaster on original wooden base, with original label.
In very good solid condition. Wear to surface and minor loss to plaster.
Dimensions: L 29 cm x H 22.5 x D 7.5 cm
