An antique hand-painted porcelain figurine of a courting couple with grapes, created by the renowned Volkstedt porcelain manufactory, modeled under the supervision of Triebner, Ens & Eckert, the factory''s founders. This particular piece dates to the late 19th century, specifically between 1877 and 1894. The young couple is dressed in period attire with floral patterns: the girl holds a basket of grapes in one hand and a grape bunch in the other, while the young man attempts to embrace her, but she dodges him. The figurine is finely decorated with polychrome overglaze painting and gilt detailing. The modeling is lively and dynamic, with carefully rendered details. A thin brush was used to paint the floral patterns on their clothing. The couple''s faces are beautifully crafted, with delicate features and a lively blush on their cheeks. The piece bears the Volkstedt porcelain manufactory''s stamp on the bottom.
