Victorian Antique French Silver Napoleon Snuff Box, C.1860

Description

A very rare and beautifully crafted antique silver table snuff box in the shape of Napoleon Bonapart. Probably made in France around 1860, it has makers marks but I have not been able to decifer them. The hat is hinged and opens to reveal a gilded interior that would hold sunff to dispense at a table after dinner. The face is lifelike and the hat is realistically fashioned. It is a stunning piece that would grace any collection.

WEIGHT; 160 grams or 5ozst approx.
