George III Sheraton Mahogany Carver Armchair c. 1800
In fine original condition with good colour & patination, re-upholstered & covered in Gainsborough fabric with Claremont trim. This is a fine example of a late 18th Century Sheraton design armchair in perfect condition, showing no previous repairs or damage. A very elegant chair with beautiful detail & carving. The chair was completely re-upholstered from the frame using the original horsehair stuffing & the fabric was woven by Gainsborough of Sudbury, Suffolk.
