A 19th Century Grand Tour Granite Desk Tidy Ornament, Italy C1890, 10.5cm.
A superbly stylish carved granite, antique desk tidy ornament with a central glass liner or well, shaped in an elegant font rectangle with canted corners and metal leaf decorations to the corners and metal base.
The ash grey granite, granito bigio is superbly hand carved to an elegant shape, with typical characteristics of Italian Grand Tour desk art souvenir.
Presented in mostly excellent condition whilst 1 of the corner cast metal leaves is missing.
A handsome desk art piece, desk tidy etc.., coffee table ornament, bookcase and or mantlepiece etc..,
