Outstanding, solid cast, Silvered Bronze Sculpture entitled ‘After the Race’ by John Willis Good modelled as an exhausted Racehorse with Jockey up cast by Elkington & Co, on pink marble base.
 
Believed to represent the jockey Fred Archer on the racehorse Atlantic, owned by the Duke of Westminster.
 
Signed ‘J Willis Good’, dated 1875 and stamped ‘Elkington & Co.’
 
Exceptional condition throughout, exquisitely detailed to include even bulging veins on the horse.
