Description

A fine and rare Spode porcelain ' Warwick Vase' c.1820. This is Spode's version of the famous Warwick vase which was copied by several English porcelain manufactories. This shape is recorded in The Spode 1820 Shape Book as 'Shape Number 55 - Warwick Vase - One size.' Here the vase is unusually decorated with a cobalt blue ground and finely painted flowers on cracked ice and prunus pattern gilding. 

Marked Spode in red to the base. No pattern number.

Condition: Excellent with just some minor wear to the gilding. No damage or restoration
