Antique English Sterling Silver Ring Box - 1899

Description

A quite beautiful individual ring box, perfect for that very special ring, either for one you cherish or one you intend to give.

Made from sterling silver, the shaped box box is decorated with all-over repousse or embossed decoration and the lid has a vacant cartouche which could be engraved by a silversmith should you wish.

The hinged lid opens to reveal a fitted interior in Burgundy coloured velvet to accommodate that special ring.

The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1899, a true Victorian example. The makers initials HM are also present for the renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews. Excellent condition, measuring 2" x 1 1/4" x 7/8" tall.
