Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Mark Seabrook Antiques

A nicely turned fruitwood snuff box with wonderful provenance written on the inside of the lid....'' This box is made from part of an apple tree that grew in the speakers garden. It was burnt at the fire of the houses of parliament in 1834 - it has the name of who presented it, but I cannot quite make it out....but I am sure someone will be able to....excellent condition with very good colour and figuring that you get with applewood.

English . C1830-40. From the collection of Brian Hawtin.
