19th Century Silk Pin Cushion Shoes

Description

A most wonderful pair of 19th century silk pin cushion shoes. They really are exquisite and the silk is in such great condition. Lovely rich red. One of the cushions feels slightly harder than the other so it could be an emery for cleaning the pins and needles, but not entirely sure. The bases is covered in cream silk and as an inscription on 18/10/06 could be 1806 but could be 1906, but in my opinion they are older than 1906 so the inscription is probably later. All handmade.
