Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the Edwardian era (19011910), tabletop silver reached a high level of popularity in British households. Silver-mounted glass pepper grinders became essential additions to formal dining services, combining utility with decorative cut glass techniques.

These items were predominantly constructed using heavy lead crystal or diamond-cut glass bodies paired with sterling silver caps, collars, and bases. The internal grinding mechanisms were crafted from hardened steel to ensure durability.

Authentic British pieces feature official assay office hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver, a town mark, a date letter corresponding to 19011910, and a makers mark stamped onto the silver sections.

An antique silver and glass pepper grinder can be displayed on a dining table, kitchen island, or sideboard tray alongside contemporary dining accessories to create a refined contrast between modern and historic tableware.

Clean the exterior glass with a damp cloth, taking care not to submerge the internal steel grinder in water to prevent rusting. Polish silver components gently with a silver polishing cloth to remove tarnish without disturbing silver hallmarks.
