London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
A rather charming piece of furniture with a few tricks up it's sleeve!
To the upper of the head is fixed a later frame containing needlepoint under glass.

Useful as an occasional table, side table or stand, but with the added benefit of being able to function as a screen with height and angle adjustment.
When set at any point between the horizontal and vertical the table becomes a handy angled work top as the perimeter forms a 'tray'. Very useful for reading, writing or enjoying a jigsaw puzzle.

This versatile item of furniture benefits from excellent brass fittings and is in great order throughout.
Overall a lovely display item and good fun too.
