A Stunning Silver Gilt Basket With Cranberry Glass Liner

£365    $466    €439
A truly stunning swing handled basket with cranberry glass liner. This gorgeous and quality piece is of silver gilt and stands on a raised pedestal base with pierced geometric designs. These designs continue to the body, along with swags and tied bows in the ''Adams'' taste. The undulating rim is finished with an attractive border and the hinged, swing handle is fully cast, being formed from a band of co-joined loops along with floral motifs with a central oval vacant cartouche. The original cranberry glass liner is fitted, shaped to the top and finished with a polished pontil mark to the base. A superb and practical piece for use or display. Dimensions below.
