A fine quality Victorian coromandel jewellery box, the whole edged in brass with further brass lines to the top and front.The sides have the original decorative flush fitting carry handles.
The box opens to reveal the original tooled Morrocan leather fitted interior with reversible mirror to the lid concealing a secret letter pouch. The lift out tray reveals a further storage area beneath. To the rear of the box a push button releases the front drawer with original fitted satin & velvet interior. We have re-lined the bottom of the main sections in a clean blue velvet to match the rest. Note the engraved brasswork to the interior and full width engraved hinge.
