A spectacular antique Victorian emerald diamond cluster ring featuring a bed of twinkling old mine-cut diamonds, with a deep-green step-cut emerald flush-set in the centre. It weighs approx. 0.60ct and is flanked by two larger diamonds on each shoulder (approx. 0.80ct total).
Emerald is the birthstone of May. The Romans considered it to be the sacred stone of the goddess Venus and was said to preserve love and provide hope. Its natural green colouring also makes it a stone of springtime and is associated with eternal love and faithfulness.
The stones are expertly pave set into a square, scalloped gallery, fashioned in platinum, with an 18ct yellow gold back and band. It’s a striking design, dating to Circa 1900, with a gorgeous collection of natural gems, that sit flat against the top of the finger.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
