Gorgeous Rosewood Davenport - Tooled Leather Upper - c1890

This Davenport is presented in Rosewood veneer and is in excellent order.

This hugely stylish and very well kept item provides four side drawers each with original functioning lock.

A sign of the quality of this davenport is the exquisitely tooled skiver. The sloped writing flap opens to reveal a fitted interior. The upper storage section lid lifts and provides ample storage for writing equipment.

Ebony and Pearwood stringing is evident throughout the surfaces and complements the Rosewood wonderfully.

The piece sits upon flat bun feet.

A wonderful piece of furniture that is in excellent order throughout.
