Large Staffordshire Huntsman & His Dog Figure C1880

Description

This well-modelled and colourfully-decorated VICTORIAN STAFFORDSHIRE FIGURE dates from circa 1880.

It depicts a well-dressed HUNTSMAN, in plaid sash, plaid socks, neckerchief, waistcoat, breeches, jacket and a jaunty hat, with his faithful hound by his side.

He stands an impressive 16 inches (40.5 cm) high.

The condition is good. There is an old surface chip to the underside of the footrim. There is no restoration.

A very striking and eye-catching FIGURE.
