Liberty & Co. Inlaid Occasional Table C.1910

Description

Superb Moorish style 'Turkish Table' as retailed by Liberty & Co. of London in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Octagonal top with striking Islamic style geometric decoration of fine inlaid detail in various woods and mother of pearl within a raised border. The inlays continue on the sides, over Mughal arch cutaways to form the legs. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

A similar table is illustrated in Liberty's Furniture 1875-1915 The Birth of Modern Interior Design by Daryl Bennet.
