A magnificent antique Victorian amethyst pendant/ brooch depicting a large leaf made up of five oval-cut amethysts (approx. 10ct each) with a natural white half-pearl in the centre.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
Each amethyst has been expertly cut with many glistening facets and exhibit a luxurious, deep-purple hue that’s complemented beautifully by the ornate 15ct yellow gold claw settings.
It’s a glorious antique, all in pristine condition, and fitted with a detachable loop and a pin, so it can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch.
