Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The cabinetmaker would have been informed that the chest was to go up a difficult staircase.

It is fitted 6 graduated drawers, all with the Georgian period swan-neck swing brass handles.
The top half splits below the top 3 drawers, leaving the base section with its own 3 drawers.
The sides have a good wide walnut cross-banding around the edge.

Its top with the moulded edge and cross-banding is also around the top and drawer fronts.
This magnificent George III walnut chest stands on bracket feet.
As this chest comes in 2 parts you will be able to get into an upstairs bedroom even if you have a difficult staircase.

The storage this provides will be a fantastic addition to your home.
Imagine waking up in the morning and having pleasure of seeing this wonderful piece of Georgian Walnut furniture.
