Rare snakewood and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The pommel to the top is silver, stamped with the London assay office mark and the date letter for 1913 and the makers mark for Jonathan Howell & Co Ltd.
Plain silver pommel above the shaft which is snakewood carved with ridges to simulate bamboo. This is a rare to find wood and is strong enough to support a good weight. If you can find new snakewood cane today they are retailed for as much as £1000.Quite dark in colour the markings in the wood show better in natural light.

It''s in excellent condition for it''s age with only some very minor signs of age and use as you can see in the pictures.
No splits or holes to the silver and the shaft has no damage or repairs.
Perfect for an every day cane.
