Stunning ebony and hallmarked silver walking stick or cane.
The large silver pommel was assayed in London as shown in the pictures, date letter for 1920
and makers mark for Jonathan Howell & Co Ltd.
The silver top is Covered with repousse scroll work decoration with a circular blank cartouche to the top of the pommel. Super condition with just minor surface marks and dinks but these have not gone through the silver.
The shaft is sturdy and being ebony will support a good weight.
It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 3.8 cm 1 1/2 inches wide and 7 cm 2 3/4 inches long.
The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel.
It''s in excellent condition no damage or repairs. The shaft is good and strong and also in excellent condition.
