Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
However, it is difficult to attribute this piece to the original 18th-century Ludwigsburg factory, as their designs were often quite distinctive. It is more likely that this high-quality figurine was marked in this way to enhance its market value.

Nevertheless, the level of craftsmanship displayed in the figurine, with its meticulous attention to detail and the finesse of the painting, suggests that this is an exceptional piece made by highly skilled artisans. The elegance and precision of the decorative work imply that it was likely produced either in France or Germany.

Dimensions: Height: 23.8 cm, Width: 9 cm, Depth: 10.2 cm
Condition: The tips of three fingers on the left hand are missing, as well as the end of the sword's scabbard. There are chips on the left side of the cloak and two small chips along the cloak’s edge. The black paint on the sword and hat has flaked off, and there is some minor loss of gilding on the sword’s hilt and the cross. Despite these minor imperfections, the overall impression remains that of a remarkable work of porcelain artistry.
