A Fabulous Figured And Burl Chestnut, Country/farmhouse Table Of Immense Charm And Character Circa 1800

An extremely rare model, of sumptuous rich chocolate colour and lovingly cared for age acquired patination. Will seat 6 very comfortably. The generous wide top of planed 12 inch planks one inch thick and cleated at the ends. There is a full width drawer to BOTH ends, each with Double, turned Knob handles, all of original origin. One drawer fitted a Bramah type lock. The substantial turned Chestnut legs giving the table a powerful look and are full height. The frieze and drawer fronts are also of wonderful figured and burl Chestnut timbers.
From a Herefordshire/Worcestershire Borders Farmhouse origin, and in private collection for the last 20 years. A family table of complete originality and sound sturdy condition. Now with over 200 years of lovingly acquired aged character and patination. Note; this table is heavy, due to the density of the timbers.
