A pair of well carved 19th Century Anglo Indian hardwood torchers, profusely carved all over, dome petal shaped tops comprising of various foliage and berry''s, circular centre with a lift out lid to reveal a compartment space, supported on an intricate carved column of a large winged mythical creature terminating on a circular domed platform base with four mythical figure heads looking upwards acting as further support. Circa 1860.
