Early 20th Century German Marianne Brandt and Hin Bredendieck Light
 
A very rare and unusually large double conical pendant by Marianne Brandt and Hin Bredendieck for Kandem. Cased and satinated glass with patinated cast metal galley. Apart from the new wiring, this stunning piece of lighting has all its original parts including the Kandem branded hanging ceramic.
 
Marianne Brandt was a German painter, sculptor, photographer, metalsmith, and designer who studied at the Bauhaus art school in Weimar and later became head of the Bauhaus Metall-Werkstatt in Dessau in 1928.

This antique object is completely solid in structure and form, it is firmly in place and has some aged across the metal gallery as shown. Fitted to 240v UK three cord power source currently.
