Andros Antiques has dated these Mahogany Library Steps to the 19th Century.

The top flap lifts up to reveal a decent storage area, and the middle draw also provides additional storage. This piece was originally a commode, but sometime in its life has been converted to incorporate the drawer.

The tooled green leather tops are nicely distressed with a subtle fade to their middles that work so well on this piece. The generously proportioned brass handles add further decorative appeal.
Would work well as a bedside piece or anywhere in the home used as a lamp table.
