N Wilson Antiques Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Here we have a superb J. ASHCROFT & Co. , VICTORIA STREET, LIVERPOOL antique Billiard, Snooker and Life Pool Scoreboard.
Glazed fronted compartments to the base.

The lovely oak combined billiards, snooker and life pool scoreboard has glazed lockable cupboards for the balls and the the lock is complete with it's key and is in working order. The billiard scorer has black rollers with gold painted numbers, 0 to 20, 21 to 40, 41 to 60, 61 to 80, 81 to 100 and two slides to mark your score.

The Life Pool board consists of 12 slides with coloured discs, each colour representing the player's cue ball, the colours being White, Red, Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink, Black, spot White, spot Red, spot Yellow and spot Green. Each slide when pulled out reveals three discs, one for each life. There are also 'stars' hidden, to mark extra lives. Fitted central to the scoreboard is a slate for keeping scores etc.

The game of Life Pool can be played by a number of players, who form the pool. Each player has their own coloured ball and loses a life each time the ball is potted by an opponent. When a player loses all of his lives he is out of the game.

The scoreboard was made by J. ASHCROFT & Co. , VICTORIA STREET, LIVERPOOL and is superb quality.
The scoreboard measures approximately: 42 3/4 inches / 108.5 cm long x 6 inches / 15 cm deep x 28 inches / 71 cm high.

CONDITION: The score board is in lovely condition as can be seen from the photographs just odd knocks and marks commensurate with age and use. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
