A great mahogany piece from around 1820-40, converted later in life and now restored, so in very good condition, with side-hinged lift-over caddy top, opening to reveal a level surface with thumb-moulding to all four sides, over a generous cabinet with front-opening doors and brass roundel knob, over one shallow and one deep drawer with circular brass plates and teardrop pull-handles, all on tapering square legs, this fine example of a gentleman''s nightstand is both stylish & immensely practical and will impress in the most elegant of homes, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in taste, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.
