Early 19thc Dutch Tavern Scene painted in oils on copper or tin and presented in the original gesso gilt frame.
The quality and detail is excellent,with the oils still being bright and vibrant,depicting two
gentlemen sitting, smoking pipes and drinking ale.

Painted by a talented artist who has obviously specialised in genre scenes and has captured the atmosphere and characters very well.
