Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
A fantastic example of a Georgian Chest on Chest.
The top section consists of an attractive dental moulded cornice to an arrangement of 2 smaller drawers over 3 descending drawers. The bottom section consists of 3 vast descending drawers which stand on its original solid mahogany shaped bracket feet.

The chest also has beautifully ornate fret-worked plate brass dropper handles and is complete with matching escutcheons in-front of their original fully operational warded locks throughout complete with its original key. One of the brass escutcheons is missing the lower part and 2 others have been re-made at some point by a previous owner, we have left this untouched as we feel that is part of its 250+ years of history.

This well made chest on chest is in a fantastic original condition featuring its beautiful warm colour and French polished finish.
The drawers are in great condition, t he drawer runners have been re-built as necessary so are smoothly operating with little to no drawer wear and are very clean inside.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
