Medium sized antique Sandtimer / Hourglass in mahogony. Circa 1800.
Original glass contained within circular geometrical cage constructed from four delicatley turned mahogony pillars with decorative finials. The top and bottom constructed in mahonony (or possibly fruit-wood) with beautiful finish / patina. Fine grained light golden sand, timing at approximately 1 hour. Ink script reading ''R/'' on top of roundel.
In excellent original condition with sand flowing freely between bulbs. Rare item.
Display table not included in sale.
