A rare matching pair of early C19th George IV period rosewood library tables .
Pair of large rectangular rosewood library tables with inset leatherette or oil-cloth , writing surfaces raised on shaped and carved end supports with a turned stretcher beneath . The tables raised on compressed bun feet with ‘concealed’ brass castors.
Both tables in fresh to market condition , in need of minor restoration and replacement inset writing surfaces. One table of lighter colour due to exposure to sunlight . One table having a brass number plaque to upright support. Offered in ‘as found’ condition, a price for restoration and replacement inset leather tops to client’s specifications, can be supplied if desired.
