Antique Early Victorian Cuban Mahogany Marble Topped Credenza Sideboard C1840

Antique Early Victorian Cuban Mahogany Credenza with Marble Top and dating from around 1840. Constructed from quality Cuban mahogany it has a Carreras marble top in good condition with no damage and with grey natural veins to the marble. This is above a deep cross banded frieze with ormolu gilt mount to the centre and over a central bevelled glass door with gilt key escutcheon and with two internal adjustable shelves. The door is flanked on either side by two Architectural turned columns with ormolu gilt mounts to the base and divided by a glass panel. To each end of the Credenza there are two open shelves. It is raised on a deep plinth base on turned feet. A superb quality Credenza.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
