This handsome antique leather double hat case which dates from the late 19th century is a large size, has a removable insert and was designed to carry several hats.

This great looking Victorian hat case which is nice and tall is well made of thick quality leather and has nice detail such as a sturdy leather carrying handle with a brass name plate, flowers embossed in the leather around the brass lock plate, a holding strap and the inside has a silk lining.

A nice usable case so is ideal for keeping hats safe but is also ideal for home decor, shop display or photography / film prop as it looks stunning with the leather having a beautiful rich patina.

Dimensions: External Width: 35 cm (13 3/4"). External Depth: 34 cm (13 1/2"). External Height: 37 cm (14 1/2").

Condition: Beautiful antique condition with age related wear with scuffs and scrapes leaving a wonderful patina. Leather is in solid condition with some cracking, dried areas and marks. Some rubbing wear to the edges. The interior is in good condition but with some staining, marks and tears to lining. One of the internal buckles is broken. Leather carry handle in excellent sound condition. Leather holding strap with buckle is in nice condition and the case can be secured by using this. There is no key and there is no locking front clasp / end strap. Please see pictures.
