Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
The tactile rounded body is filled with attractive bubble inclusions and stands on a flat base for stability. There is a large broken pontil mark to the underside and the ink reservoir is expertly blown into the glass from the top. A wonderful piece, being very decorative and having a number of alternative uses. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no scratches or bruises. There is a bubble towards the base on one side that has 'popped' during manufacture and is not damage. This is photographed for clarity.
